New Freshman Admissions Process

2. Pay the $25 non-refundable application fee online or enter an acceptable fee waiver code as you submit your application.

We accept application fee waiver codes from College Board, ACT, and NACAC. Please contact the Office of Admissions and Recruitment for assistance on how to obtain the application fee waiver code at 229-500-4358 or email us at admissions@asurams.edu .

3. Submit Official high school transcript to the Office of Admissions

You can do this by logging into your account at www.gafutures.org or www.parchment.com or you can contact your high school counselor and request they send a copy of your official transcript. The Required High School Curriculum is used to calculate your high school GPA, so it may appear lower than you originally anticipated because we do not include courses like weight lifting, health, art, drama, etc.

If you have dual-enrollment credits from institutions other than Albany State University, please request the official transcripts from www.studentclearinghouse.org , or www.parchment.com .

4 . Send us official copies of your SAT/ACT scores from the testing agency. (SAT code: 5004 / ACT code: 0782)

Admission Requirements

Freshman applying for Spring, Summer and Fall 2022 are required to submit official SAT and/or ACT test scores to be considered for the Bachelor degree programs and must have a high school GPA of at least a 2.0.

Freshman who do not submit SAT and/or ACT test scores can be admitted into our access pathway programs.

Applicants are required to submit their official high school transcript and complete an application to receive an admissions decision.

The University System of Georgia has authorized this change. Prospective freshman must meet all other admission requirements, including satisfactory completion of the required high school curriculum and all other requested documentation. ASU admission counselors remain available to assist applicants and prospective students via phone 229-500-4358 and email admissions@asurams.edu .

The Office of Admissions considers the following when evaluating students for admission to Albany State University.

Prospective first-year students must meet one of the following admission criteria:

High School GPA & Required High School Curriculum
